This policy explains what data VSTSAWEB handles, how it is stored, and which design choices have been made to keep your information private.

Data security at a glance

VSTSAWEB works fully offline. Health metrics, challenge data, and preferences are stored only on your device using the system's secure preference storage.

1. Core principles

VSTSAWEB is built around three privacy principles:

  • Minimal collection – the app stores only what is needed for its core features.
  • On‑device storage – data is kept locally, not uploaded to remote servers.
  • No tracking – no analytics SDKs, ads SDKs, or external tracking libraries are integrated.

2. Data categories

Used to perform on‑device calculations and display results in the calculators and optional challenge check‑ins.
Kept only in memory when you run a calculation. Values are stored locally only if you explicitly add them to a challenge entry.

Tracks your current and past challenges, daily check‑ins, progress, streaks, and unlocked achievements.
Stored locally on your device via on‑device preferences (such as UserDefaults). You can reset challenge history from within the app, which removes this data.
Settings & preferences
Stores things like preferred units (metric/imperial), default challenge durations, and whether onboarding or tips have been shown.
Stored locally on your device in the same on‑device preference storage as challenge data.

3. Connectivity & permissions

VSTSAWEB is designed to be usable without a network connection:

  • Network – not required for normal use; all main functionality works offline.
  • Notifications – optional local notifications can be used for daily check‑in reminders.
  • No access – the app does not access contacts, photos, camera, microphone, GPS/location, or health records.

If your device operating system requests permission (for example, to show local notifications), that permission is used only for the described purpose and is handled by the operating system itself.

4. No analytics, ads, or tracking

VSTSAWEB does not integrate:

  • third‑party analytics SDKs,
  • advertising or marketing SDKs,
  • social media or cross‑app tracking libraries.

As a result, usage of the app is not reported to external analytics dashboards or ad networks.

5. Data retention & control

Because data is stored locally, you remain in control of it. You can:

  • reset your challenge history from within the app (which deletes stored challenge data from local storage), and
  • uninstall the app from your device to remove its local data as part of system uninstallation.

6. Children's privacy

VSTSAWEB is not specifically directed at children. If a child uses the app, their data is still stored only on the device and is not transmitted to remote servers by VSTSAWEB itself. Parents and guardians should supervise app usage and interpret any health‑related numbers in consultation with qualified professionals.

7. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect app updates or changes in applicable laws. We will adjust the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when changes are made.
